Film and television writers plan “Strike TV” Internet programming

Film and television writers attempt to raise money through the ownership of their material. The writers hope that the advertisements on their websites featuring their original shows will help them raise profits and revenue.

This sounds interesting. I would definitely check out Strike TV. I miss the TV shows - the new reality shows absolutely suck - and i am interested in what types of shows they will produce without the restrictions of the studios and networks.

Great! Now they own their first viewer. To what extent do you think people would be attracted to this new medium?

I wonder if the producers/distributors will eventually come to some sort of compromise with the WGA; after all, a similar strike occurred in 1988). The economy depends largely on the writers and their shows, which will be a huge deciding factor in how media corporations handle the situation.
