This invention is great! The fact that this instrument can tune itself is an amazing feature. Now you don't have to do it yourself. However, I do think that some technological advances in the music industry, specifically instruments, are taking away from the true art of music. I think that in order to play an instrument such as the guitar it is necessary for you to be able to tune the instrument yourself. Only then can you declare yourself a musician/guitar player. Nonetheless, I do think that the Robot Guitar is easy to handle and the new techology advances allow the player to play the perfect note... if they know where to find it :)

I was thinking close to the same as you ariadne. I think that it is important for their to be advances/changes in instruments but i also think that it is almost detrimental to the idea of music. i mean just moving into the electric guitar was a huge deal in the music industry.

on another issue..i played guitar hero for my first time last week and i was wondering if it was really teaching me how to play the guitar. if it is wasn't, it is interesting to see how new video games are becoming so interactive that they can teach people how to play an instrument or sport.
